Room in the Inn @ BUMC 2021-22 Class Sign Up Form
It's time again to plan for your group's night(s) for hosting Room in the Inn at Brentwood United Methodist Church.
With the current issues around Covid-19, there are some changes.
We will have an abbreviated season based on interest/availability and start on Dec 3.
We will host only on Fridays this year as the daycare classes will be in the space on Wednesday mornings and we want to be extra cautious.
We will only be hosting men this shortened season and hope to open up to women's nights again next year.
You will be responsible for providing two overnight hosts to stay with the group.
We are NOT going to be offering laundry services this season.
*** CHRISTMAS EVE *** Consider doing Christmas Eve this year for a special experience.
Bus Drivers will need to provide an updated copy of their DL and Insurance Card. Drivers must be 25 or over and under 75 years of age. There are other restrictions in the Transportation Policy that I can share if needed or can be viewed on the church website. Drivers should be members or staff of BUMC and be approved by the Facilities Director.
You do not have to create a Sign-Up Genius account to select a night. Just choose Sign Up for the date you want and then click on Sign Up and Submit at the bottom of the page.
In some cases, have sent this to more than one contact per class. I tried to copy the main contact from last year as well as the Class President so you may want to consult with your group and choose someone to do the sign-up.
If you know of another small group that may be interested in hosting a night, feel free to forward this to them.
Also, if your group is too small but you are willing to pair up with another class, please send me an email at [email protected]
PLEASE LIST YOUR GROUP NAME UNDER "MY COMMENT" WHEN SIGNING UP.
I have spoken with the leadership of Room in the Inn and guests sent will be vaccinated. They will also understand that they should wear a mask except when eating, resting, etc...
They request that WE also be vaccinated and adhere to mask-wearing where appropriate.
We will want to consider how we serve meals as well. The buffet line is not the best option at this time so please consider plating individual meals to serve.
If you have any questions about this or about ways you can personally get more involved, please let me know by email [email protected] or cell 615-573-0431.
