HELLO, DOLLY! Audition sign-ups ADULTS, TEENS, and YOUTH
EVERYONE who auditions WILL be given a role. Those not yet able to read must have a responsible adult in the show with them.
Nearly everyone will be singing and dancing at some point in this show.
For those wishing to be considered for a speaking role, please prepare a short monologue, story or joke, not longer than 30 seconds long.
For those wishing to be considered for a featured or solo singing role, please prepare an acapella (without musical accompaniment) selection from a song that shows off your vocal range not longer than 30 seconds long.
You may choose to do both, but please make sure that your total audition time is 60 seconds or less.
EXPERIENCED or TRAINED dancers should schedule a separate DANCE audition on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:00pm. Come dressed to move. Based on this dance audition, you may be asked to stay for a Callback Dance Audition.
Based on these Acting, Singing and Dance auditions, you may be asked to attend a Callback Audition. These are scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Please be available for consideration for lead and featured roles.
Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
Younger cast members will initially rehearse 6:30pm to 8:00pm, and then stay progressively later as Opening Night approaches.
Lead and Supporting roles will likely have a few additional rehearsals based on mutual agreement with the play's director, choreographer, etc...
Tech and Dress rehearsals are SATURDAY, July 28 from 10am to 2:00pm and MONDAY through Thursday, July 30 and 31 and August 1 and 2 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm,

Mrs. Dolly Gallagher Levi — an indefatigable meddling matchmaker; a widow in her middle years
Mrs. Irene Molloy — a millineress with a hat shop near 14th Street in New York City
Minnie Fay — a young girl who works in Irene’s Shop
Ernestina — a heavy-set girl in need of Mrs. Levi’s services
Ermengarde — the 17-year-old niece of Horace Vandergelder
Horace Vandergelder — proprietor of a hay and feed store in Yonkers, NY and a client of Mrs. Levi’s
Cornelius Hackl — Vandergelder’s chief clerk, 33 years old
Barnaby Tucker — an assistant to Cornelius, 17 years old
Ambrose Kemper — a young artist seeking to marry Ermengarde
Mrs. Rose — sells vegetables from a street cart, a friend of Mrs. Levi’s from years before
Coachman — non-speaking

Rudolph Reisenweber — the Prussian major-domo of the Harmonia Gardens Restaurant
