Mt. Pisgah UMC
Thank you for helping to feed the Richmond community fresh produce! Instructions are in the “garden mail box” as well as a task log for you to see what the person before you had done and for you to make note of what you have done. There is a planning plot provided for each of the four raised beds so you can see what is planted. Take a friend, your kids or grandkids with you to help!
If you don't have any (much) experience gardening, we will be happy to train you. We can pair you with a veteran gardener the first time (or two) that you sign-up. Just let Karen and Jeff know that you want to learn more about the garden beds, what we have planted, and how we can produce fresh food for the Belmont food ministry.
Food storage bags are located in the garden mail box for the harvest, but we also encourage you to re-use plastic store bags whenever possible. Place the harvest in the old kitchen near the church office. Refrigerate leafy greens in sealed bags and place other items in the designated container in the kitchen. Produce will be picked up on Thursdays for delivery to Belmont on Fridays.
Sunday – Weed and water raised bed gardens (as necessary) and harvest any produce for Friday’s delivery to Belmont.
Wednesday – Weed and water raised bed gardens (as necessary) and harvest any produce for Friday’s delivery to Belmont.
Contact Karen Rush (794-2704) or Jeff Wing (317-5929 or [email protected]) for more information.
