It's our turn to serve dinner by providing a hot, delicious meal to 200-300 of our homeless friends in downtown San Antonio.
The menu will be sausages wrapped in tortillas, mandarin oranges, carrot sticks and ranch dip and cookies/brownies.
Sausages should be wrapped in a tortilla and individually wrapped in foil.
Carrots should be bagged into INDIVIDUAL serving sizes.
Ranch Dip - We are purchasing individual cups of dip - you can donate $ if you would like!
Oranges - the bags of the easy peel mandarins that HEB sells
Cookies/Brownies - individual (or 2 to a bag, depending upon size) either home made or store bought.
Money - always welcome. We will use the funds to purchase any needed food so that we have enough to provide for at least 200 dinners.
The food should be delivered downtown at about 5:45pm at 724 Chesnut Ave. You can also contact Riva (757-343-8464) to make drop off arrangements if you can't make it downtown.
Please be sure to sign up to serve if you are planning on staying to serve the food. That's totally optional - but we do need to know if you plan on serving.
You are also welcome to bring donations of clothing and reusable grocery bags to donate to our friends.
Money can be donated through the Grace App (Tithely), or by giving a check directly to Riva or Lisa (made out to Grace Church). Just make a note that it's for Taking it to the Streets.
