Wabash River Ride 2019

Mobile SAG Volunteers

* Will accompany a ham operator (who will drive) along the route.
* Will keep an eye out for riders in need of assistance: fix a flat, offer water (mostly in the afternoon), transport rider and bike back if necessary as in the case of a busted chain, more serious medical issue such as exhaustion.
* Mobile SAG volunteers should have a small cooler to keep water bottles (provided at home base) cool. You should also bring a floor pump (or if you don’t have one, you should let us know so we can borrow one from Hodson’s Bay).
* We will provide each sag vehicle with a first aid kit.
* Mobile SAG volunteers might also need to make modifications/corrections to the route. For example, several years ago, someone in Fountain messed with our Dan Henry sending riders off route. Another example would be to spray some red paint around a road hazard. We will have spray paint for you ready to go at home base for each route
