Saint Francis Feeds
St Francis has the privilege of providing breakfast to guests of the brand new multi-services center, Oak City Cares, on the 2nd Saturday of every other month and on the 4th Sunday of each month! Thank you for your willingness to help! (This new center replaced Oak City Outreach Center in April, 2019.)
We are thrilled to be able to do this, for it provides another beautiful way for parishioners and their families to live out our Gospel call to mercy and service to folks in need.
Won't you join us ... Saturday October 12, 2019?
A simple breakfast of sausage and chicken biscuits, fruit, coffee and water will be served. Volunteers are needed to provide parts of the meal and to serve the meal. Volunteers are also needed to visit with guests in the dining room at Oak City Cares. St Francis will order and purchase the biscuits and the other needs are below.
Oak City Cares is located at 1430 South Wilmington Street Raleigh, NC 27603 - less than a mile from the old Oak City Outreach Center, and will serve roughly the same brothers and sisters who have found themselves hungry or homeless in downtown Raleigh.
Carol and Bill McClain are our Minsitry Leaders for this St. Francis ministry. If you have any questions please call Carol at 919-624-2482.
More specifics are below. Again, thank you for any help you can provide!
