"LOVE begins at HOME and it is not how much we do but how much love we put in that action" - Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa Home
The program supports homeless pregnant and/or parenting young people between the ages of 16 and 26, and occasionally their dependent children. (Based on application and need). Services are provided for up to 18 months. The program offers an intensive array of services to meet the short- and longer-term needs of pregnant and parenting women. Program goals are to teach young people parenting skills as well as child development, family budgeting, education, health and nutrition, and other skills to promote their long-term economic independence and ensure the wellbeing of their children. In addition, the program will focus on giving young people the chance to exercise leadership, build skills, and become involved in their communities.
- We kindly suggest a minimum of 5 requested donations per family if possible.
- Donations to the Mother Teresa Home will run from June - November
Response to Love Center
The Response To Love Center focuses on the holistic treatment of poverty: loving care of the economically deprived, the spiritually poor, the emotionally battered, the isolated, the wounded and the broken. Under the leadership of Sr. Mary Johnice Rzadkiewicz CSSF and a host of volunteers this outreach center is a center of love and acceptance for all who enter. The thrift Shop clothes the naked; the kitchen feeds the hungry; the Chapel comforts the frail elderly in spiritual warmth; and the Food Bank and the pantry stretch families’ thin budgets. Through work and prayer, through listening to the voice of God, Who directs us, and through that direction by responding to Love and with Love, we are stepping out in faith.
- Donations to Response to Love Center will run from December - April
Collections will be accepted the 3rd Sunday of every month, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in Room 110.
Please label donations "Mother Teresa Home Donations" or "Response to Love Center" when dropping off items. Thank you!
