Lions Members 2016
This year at Taco Daze, the Washington County Breastfeeding Coalition has a Nursing Mother’s Tent that they are willing to provide to our event free of charge.
The purpose of this tent is to provide mothers, both event staff and patrons, with a comfortable and private space for breastfeeding their child/ren.
Before committing to hosting the tent, we need to have a few volunteers who can help with:
- Volunteer(s) to pick up the tent from Washington County and set it up prior to the event; and then take it down and return it. The tent is 10’LX10’W and comes with a roller carry bag, ropes, waterproof top, and covered sides for privacy. (MALE OR FEMALE VOLUNTEERS)
- Volunteer to do signage to direct patrons to the tent. (MALE OR FEMALE VOLUNTEERS)
- Volunteer to set-up 2 or more chairs suitable for breastfeeding as well as a small table(s) next to the chairs. Run an extension cord to an electrical source for a fan and interior lights which are attached. (MALE OR FEMALE VOLUNTEERS)
- Volunteer who can offer activities for older children who may be accompanying their mother. This person also stays in the tent to welcome mothers and children. This can be one person who is there for the day and/or multiple people who do shorter shifts. (FEMALE VOLUNTEERS ONLY; SIT DOWN JOB)
WE NEED TO COMMIT TO HOST THIS TENT (Have Volunteer Commitments) BY JULY 15th - Anyone interested in assisting, please sign up soon, or by that date.
