Streets Alive!
Streets Alive! 2022 will be Sunday, September 25th from 1:00-4:30 p.m. in the University Place Neighborhood.
The purpose of Streets Alive! is to provide a free outdoor event for Lincoln residents of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities that promotes physical activity and healthy eating, and provides free health and wellness resources. We anticipate 4,000-5,000 participants will traverse the 1.7 mile route of city streets (closed to motorized traffic) on foot, bicycle, stroller, skateboard, and wheelchairs to enjoy and engage with 100+ exhibitors, entertainers, and fitness instructors.
With a staff of just 8, the event would not be possible without the numerous individuals and organizations who generously volunteer their time! Volunteer opportunities are broken into 1.5-2 hour segments throughout the day and vary greatly. We appreciate people utilizing skills of photography/videography, conversation, organization, and coordination, to make the event a success.
