Streets Alive! 2021 will be Sunday, September 26th from 1:00-4:30 p.m. in the South Salt Creek Neighborhood.
The purpose of Streets Alive! is to provide a free outdoor event for Lincoln residents of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities that promotes physical activity and healthy eating, and provides free health and wellness resources. We anticipate 4,000-5,000 participants will traverse the 1.5 mile route of city streets (closed to motorized traffic) on foot, bicycle, stroller, skateboard, and wheelchairs to enjoy and engage with 100+ exhibitors, entertainers, and fitness instructors.
With a staff of just 7, the event would not be possible without the numerous individuals and organizations who generously volunteer their time! Volunteer opportunities are broken into 1.5-2 hour segments throughout the day and vary greatly. We appreciate people utilizing skills of photography/videography, conversation, organization, and coordination, to make the event a success. If you possess another skill you don't see listed that you think would benefit the event, or if you have any questions, please contact Anna Kokhanets at 402-430-9940 or [email protected] We greatly appreciate you and thank you for your time!
