JA Weekly Model Volunteer Sign-Ups

JA Weekly Programs include sequential themes for students in pre-school through high school. Volunteers from the community are trained by JA staff before they make weekly visits to local classrooms to share their professional knowledge and lead hands-on activities. Students learn the basic concepts of business and economics and how education is relevant to the workplace. JA’s In-Class Programs prepare students for lifelong learning.

Time Commitment (based on grade level):

Traditional Model – (45 Minutes/Week, 5-7 Weeks) Volunteers from the community make weekly visits to a local classroom to present short lessons and lead hands-on activities for elementary, middle or high school students.

*Materials and training are provided by JA staff to volunteers prior to their classroom experience.
