Join us for the 6th Annual AsianFest 2019  - Presented by Collins Aerospace on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 12pm-8:00pm in downtown Cedar Rapids at the McGrath Amphitheatre.

Emceed by our very own Jenny Valliere, Miss Iowa USA 2018 & radio personality from Z102.9, enjoy a fun free event and experience the flair, fusion and flavor of Asian cultures from rich performances, delicious cuisine to exotic cultures showcasing and celebrating the diversity that continues to be part of the Midwest fabric.

We need volunteers such as yourselves to help with various festival activities. Help us host an exciting festival and enhance the quality of life here in Eastern Iowa.

1) Taste mouthwatering Asian cuisine with various vendors cooking up their country's famous ethnic dishes (food and beverages available for purchase – must be 21 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages); purchase ethnic jewelry and other items

2) Live cultural performances throughout the day starting at 12pm from Bollywood dancing, traditional singing to martial arts

3) Villages: Explore the beauty of 8-12 Asian countries showcasing the colorful traditions, language, clothing, and interactive activities that make each Asian culture unique (China, India, Japan, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Tai Dam, Thailand, etc.)

4) "Ultimate Chef Showdown" will feature talented chefs from the region showcasing their skills and provide mouthwatering samples

5) Back by popular demand, "Oats Done Asian Style" competition - open to the general public to submit their original recipes infusing Asian flavors with oats as the primary ingredient to dazzle the judges

6) Live fruit carving showcasing traditional Thai art that has adorned the tables of Thailand’s royal family

7) Kids Zone featuring face painting, balloon animals, bouncy house, crafts, etc.

8) Vibrant Fashion Show on the runway will feature an array of traditional and modern Asian outfits (evening)

9) Lion Dance Team will delight, thrill and entertain the crowds throughout the day
