Due to COVID-19, effective Saturday, March 14,
S.O.M.E. has suspended all client-facing volunteer opportunities,
which includes providing casseroles and serving the 2nd Sunday meal.
When the suspension is lifted, at a to be determined date,
OLOM will return to providing the 2nd Sunday meal.
71 O Street, NW
Washington, DC 20001
1. Deliver casseroles from OLOM to S.O.M.E. facility (Saturday morning), pick up the casseroles from the Kennedy Room freezer, load them into the coolers and drive them to S.O.M.E. You will also need to check for and deliver donated bakery, personal hygiene and clothing items left in the Parish House vestibule
2. Serve the 2nd Sunday meal at S.O.M.E. (10:15am-1:15 pm), hands-on helping in serving a meal to attendees at the S.O.M.E. facility on O Street. This is a truly rewarding and fulfilling experience.
*S.O.M.E. relies on volunteers to serve, so PLEASE FULFILL YOUR COMMITMENT. If for some reason you cannot volunteer, we ask that you find a substutite to fill your slot.
