HCRP - Adventure & Outdoor
Come out early to fish Centennial Lake before the sun comes up! Anglers may fish from shore or bring your own boat to this Howard County Recreation & Parks event (normal Centennial Lake boating and fishing regulations apply).
$5.00 fee person will be collected on-site at check in. Centennial Park South entrance gate will be open from 4:30-5am for check-in and will close promptly at 5am (no late arrivals; park gates open to the public at 7am).
Bring your own fishing pole, bait, tackle, bug repellant, flashlight or lantern, chair, or boat. Under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Boats must meet all regulations for Centennial Lake. No equipment or instruction is provided during this program.
Click on the button to RSVP for any of the Mornin' Bite Fishing dates you plan to attend! Completing this sign up in advance speeds the check in process and allows us to contact you in case of any changes to the program. This page will show the current number of available spots for each date/time. Your name, email, and any comments will only be available to Recreation & Parks staff overseeing the program, not other anglers on this sign up page.
Example: the Heron Family has three anglers that want to attend Mornin' Bite Fishing. When signing up for each Mornin' Bite date, Ms. Heron will select the date(s) they want, click "Submit & Sign Up," enter all three names in the comment box AND select quantity "3" to show that all three of them plan to attend on that date(s). Ms. Heron will then finish that signup by entering their name & email address then clicking "Sign Up Now." You should receive an email confirmation.
NOTES: This sign up does NOT replace check in on-site. All participants MUST be physically checked in at ONLY the Centennial Park South entrance gate no later than 5am and must pay the $5 per person fee at each date. This is your unique opportunity to fish the lake before the park opens to the general public; not a tournament or competition. No equipment or instruction provided and no fish will be weighed or measured at this event. All fishing regulations for Centennial Lake still apply.
Centennial Park South entrance: 10000 Route 108, Columbia, MD 21042. This is the entrance at the traffic light on Clarksville Pike (Rt 108) across from Ten Mills Road.
