You have been recommended by your music teacher to audition for the
Spring Branch Girls Choir.
“GREAT! WHAT IS THE SPRING BRANCH GIRLS CHOIR?”
The SBGC consists of SBISD students in grades four through eight who are recommended both for their singing ability and behavior and who have a successful audition with the directors. The choirs perform throughout the city and state. Girls who are chosen will be expected to attend rehearsals weekly on Tuesdays, 4:30 -6:00pm. There are 3 major concerts a year: winter, Pizza Theater, and spring. Occasionally, we are asked to sing for special events but give you plenty of notice so you can plan to attend. To maintain a place in SBGC, you must also support one of your music programs at school (choir, orchestra, band). SBGC is NOT a replacement for you experiencing what your campus has to offer for a musical performing group. That means that in order to remain a member of SBGC, you must be a member of your school choir. If you love to sing, enjoy musical challenges, have the time to commit and want to make lots of new friends....this is for you!
