NCSB St. Andrew's Encinitas
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 9/15/2020 - GOOD NEWS!
Showers at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 890 Balour Drive, Encinitas, CA 90224 are back in business as of Saturday, September 5th, 2020. We enhanced our cleaning and sanitation procedures and strictly adhere to CDC, State, County and Ecclesiastical guidelines to protect all people associated with the Showers of Blessings ministry. Currently, we limit our services to hot private showers, distribution of socks and underwear, and monitored access to restroom facilities. St. Andrew's Church distributes a pre-prepared sack lunch for the community and Showers of Blessings guests at 10:00 AM.
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church hosts the mobile North County Showers of Blessings that are staffed by volunteers from many different faith communities and local neighborhoods. Shower services are available from 8:30 AM to 12:00 Noon. Volunteers are requested to arrive by 8:00 AM to assist with setup. Volunteers are needed for each event to function in the roles described below. Each event requires one EDSD trained Lead Volunteer to be on-site for the duration of the event. North County Showers of Blessings will provide the needed personal protective equipment (PPE) for all volunteers and guests. Volunteers in a COVID-19 high-risk group (over 65, with underlying health issues or immunocompromised) or who live with a person in a high-risk group are strongly encouraged to find other ways of serving that do not involve increased risk of exposure to the coronavirus.
