Warm Nights

Warm Nights September 2019

Please use this form to volunteer for Warm Nights. You may sign up as an entire group under one name, or you may join another person's group. Staying overnight is not required (but you may stay if you like).

A group of about 6 people is recommended. One person will be the coordinator/evening contact person, 2 additional people will help setup, serve, and clean, and three people will drop off dinner items but not have to stay. You will want to arrive around 6pm to prepare dinner, set the table, and check the state of the bathrooms. Dinner is served at 7pm. A few people can arrive later to help with dinner clean-up.

If you are providing breakfast, please remember to keep it simple as breakfast is often rushed in the morning. The committee will also provide hardboiled eggs, cereal, milk, bread, fruit, juice, and instant oatmeal. You can supplement with sweet rolls, bagels, other pastries, or crock pot or egg bake meal that is already hot or can be reheated quickly so that it is ready to serve at 6am.

If you are providing lunches, the number of lunches will be determined the week before. We usually plan for an average of 25 guests, but this can vary. An example lunch might have a sandwich, fruit (an apple or clementines), and chips and/or cookies. The church provides water bottles to include with the bagged lunch.
