Building Block Events
Building Block Events are our way of joining together with our neighbors throughout Butler County to give back in a way that will build a solid foundation for the future. Each 'Building Block Event' is tailored to one of the building blocks for a good life: Health, Financial Stability/Basic Needs, or Education.
Our next Butler County United Way Building Block Event partners with Butler County Partnership to Reduce Infant Mortality (PRIM) and will focus on our pillar of Health. Volunteers will be handing out pamphlets that inform the community about Infant Mortality in Butler County and the resources available to them. This is a community-wide event to educate at-risk mothers of the support available to give their babies a healthy start in life.
We are in need of volunteers to post door hangers spreading awareness on infant mortality throughout Butler County. The event will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019, from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM. Hamilton and Fairfield volunteers will be convening at Booker T. Washington Community Center for a brief overview of the event. Middletown volunteers will be convening at CBI/The Sonny Hill Center for a brief overview of the event.
T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers! Please consider joining us for this worthwhile event! Become one of the building blocks toward a brighter future for many of these children throughout our county.
All big things start out small. Let's be the cornerstone of big change!
