Building Block Events
Butler County United Way is known for joining together with community neighbors throughout Butler County to give back in a way that will build a solid foundation for the future. We often collaborate on events tailored to one of the building blocks for a good life: Health, Financial Stability/Basic Needs, or Education.
Focusing on the pillar of Education, the 'Back-to-School Giveaway' event will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021. We will be teaming up with Booker T. Washington Community Center, Boys and Girls Club of Hamilton and Great Miami Valley YMCA, and H.Y.P.E. to distribute backpacks. Our goal is to provide 1,000 students with backpacks containing essential school supplies.
Every year, hundreds of youth are served through our giveaway. With your support, you can help us grow this number to thousands of students getting the essential products they will need to be successful from the very beginning of the school year. We never want any child to experience barriers to their success in school!
We invite you to help us by donating supplies toward this cause. We will be collecting the following items: college rule notebook paper, 3-prong folders, pencils, black or blue ink pens, composition book, pencil pouches, erasers, 24-pack of crayons, and expo markers. Monetary donations will be accepted too! They can be dropped off or mailed to Butler County United Way, 323 North Third Street Hamilton, OH 45011 Please specify Back-to-School Giveaway on your check. Donations will be accepted from Friday, May 15, 2021 to Friday, July 24, 2021.
Please consider donating school supplies to our Back-to-School Giveaway. Become one of the building blocks toward a brighter future for many of these children throughout our county.
All big things start out small. Let's be the cornerstone of big change!
