Why Racing Events local contacts

13th Annual Girlfriends Run for a Cure Oct 13, 2019 Volunteer Signup

This amazing party celebrates the beautiful, powerful women in our lives and our fight against breast cancer.  It requires a ton of volunteers so if you can recruit friends, family, companies, churches, or sports teams to help that would be extremely helpful. They will get front row seats to all the action! We ask all volunteers to dress up in pink-themed costumes if possible to add to the fun festivities.

In addition, our events offer a terrific fundraising opportunity for a club/organization (non-profit) and a fun, inspiring way to encourage and support the athletes that participate in these events. Under our fundraising program, $20-$25 will be donated to the non-profit organization for each volunteer 4-6+hour shift depending on our needs. All the volunteers will also get a shirt and be able to enjoy the post-race festivities including food & beverages.

We typically need about 100 volunteers per day for most events with tasks such as water stations, course marshals, food prep, finish line, set up and clean up. It's entirely possible you will need to drive your vehicle to get to your position on the course or in the process of set up and tear down, so please plan accordingly. Sometimes carpooling sounds like a great idea until you realize your group signed up for positions that are spread out over the course and really needed more vehicles to get around and be on time. Keep that in mind when signing up and deciding how to get to the event on race day.

Review the volunteer assignments, sign up for the task and time that works best for you and we'll reach out to you with details as we get closer to the event.  If you have any questions, please contact [email protected]

*NOTE* Please know that we try our hardest to keep all volunteers in the positions they originally request however, if critical race positions haven't been filled by race morning we may ask you fill in a key position. Thank you so much, we couldn't do it without you!
