Sack Summer Hunger
We are excited to announce that Coppell Cares will be partnering with Coppell ISD for Sack Summer Hunger this summer. This program will provide CISD students or non-CISD children 18 and under with FREE meals through the summer. These are children and families who live in the Coppell school district (Coppell, south Lewisville, west Carrollton, Valley Ranch and North Irving). In the summer of 2020, we served 409 children from 181 families over 12 weeks.
Every Saturday morning from late May to August, volunteers will deliver a sack of food and a gallon of milk for each child to their family’s door. We will meet in the cafeteria parking lot at Austin Elementary School at 8:45 am in order to pickup food prepared by CISD. Each route will take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. We recommend that each delivery team consists of at least 2 volunteers. (Please sign up for only one slot per team and put your team members in the comment field.)
