Lincoln Homeless Coalition

2019 11th Annual Project Connect and Standdown. 9/20/19

For the 11th year, a collaboration of local organizations, businesses, and volunteers will come together to provide a one-day, one-stop shop of health and human services for people experiencing homelessness at Project Connect Lincoln and Standdown. Project Homeless Connect and Standdown 2018 saw a record high of 576 guests served during the event.  The Health Services area provided immunizations to 98 people, essential foot care for 47 people, 85 dental screenings, 57 vision screenings and much more! Job search services were provided to 74 people, 190 haircuts were given, 16 bikes were repaired, 1000 meals were served, and 60 companion animals received care and grooming. We need over 300 volunteers! Can you help? Have a group that wants to help? SPREAD THE WORD!!

To be guaranteed a t-shirt, sign up by August 28, 2019.

Note: T-shirts will be pre-ordered, if you are able, please re-use the t-shirt from last year if you are available. We have done our best to get a wide variety of sizes and will accommodate as much as we are able.

To orient volunteers to the event, we will be releasing a couple short video trainings, and have small group tours available for all new volunteers and any other volunteers interested in attending the morning of the event, Friday, Sept 20, 2019 at 8:15 am. NOTE: THE START TIME IS AN HOUR EARLIER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS!

The opportunity to volunteer include Navigator (which is the biggest need!), Food Server (limited number to sign up), Bike Repairs (limited number to sign up), and Exit table (limited number to sign up). You will find descriptions behind each volunteer opportunity.

If you have volunteered in the past, we NEED you! We are bringing back the "Dream Team" to help lead small group tours of the Pinnacle Bank floor where services are provided. AND be a resource throughout the day for fellow Navigators!

Please Complete the"Project Connect Volunteer Release and Confidentiality"form  you can complete online at

If you are unable to complete online, email to [email protected]; or [email protected]; Print and fax to 402-472-8412,   or mail to 206 S 13th St Suite 1000, Lincoln, NE 68588
