Home and Hope is a cornerstone of the Social Action program at Peninsula Temple Sholom. It brings together congregants from all age groups, interests, and abilities to provide shelter and comfort for homeless families from San Mateo County.

Home and Hope is a non-profit organization based in Burlingame that provides food, shelter, case management, and mentoring to homeless families through a paid professional staff in partnership with a volunteer, interfaith network of religious institutions that provide overnight shelter and meals at their sites. Families rotate among member congregations throughout the year- PTS hosts several times each year for a week or two at a time.
