Bake Sale to Support the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund
On Thursday, May 16th and Friday May 17th (same days as most Parent/Teacher conferences), we will be hosting a bake sale. All proceeds of this effort will be going towards the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund.
We are asking for volunteers to make this fundraiser a success. Opportunities to help are available in a variety of ways:
- Bring in baked goods on Wednesday the 15th
- Helping price items on the afternoon of the 15th
- Selling between the hours on 8:00am - 4:15pm on the 16th & 17th
For those bringing in items, please be mindful that the school is nut-free. Please read ingredient labels and refrain from using those that contain nuts, and/or may have traces of nuts or may be manufactured in a facility that processes nuts. We are also asking that you bring in a card listing all ingredients in your baked goods so they can be displayed for shoppers.
Know that every dollar raised is going to a wonderful cause. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
To learn more about the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund, please see below.
Jason Jacobs, a former Montessori student, wanted his daughter, Zoe, to enjoy the benefits of a Montessori education. After his sudden death - during the September 11th terrorist attacks - his wife, Jennifer, established the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund as a way to honor her late husband and to help make attendance at Westmont possible for families who could not otherwise attend. Since then, the Jason K. Jacobs Scholarship Fund has given qualifying families and their children the benefits of a Montessori education at Westmont.
