Bell Elementary Volunteers
Pantry Packs are weekly food packs sent home with students who are identified as food insecure.
This sign up is for volunteers to deliver Pantry Packs to classrooms at Bell. The packs are then confidentially distributed by teachers to students the following day. This is a great opportunity for your child to give back to their school community and make deliveries with you!
The weekly deliveries are generally done on Thursdays after school or if we have a short week, the day prior to the last day of the week. The delivery takes about 20 minutes and can be done immediately after school. PLEASE INDICATE IN YOUR SIGNUP IF IT WILL BE YOUR FIRST TIME DELIVERING. If you haven't delivered packs before, a quick rundown from a member of the pantry packs team is needed before delivery.
Please fill your name in a slot or two (or three)! Multiple sign ups are encouraged, since once you know how to make the delivery, it's easy to help out again and again! If you have any questions, you can contact the Pantry Packs team at [email protected]
Thank you for your help feeding those in need at Bell!

About Pantry Packs: The Pantry Packs program, powered by the Lake Washington Schools Foundation, provides weekend packs of food for approximately 800 LWSD students each week who are identified as being “food insecure.” With community donations of time, funds and kid-friendly food, 40-50 volunteers come together each month to “pack the packs.” Volunteer drivers then deliver the packs to more than 40 participating schools, and each week school coordinators distribute the packs to hungry children in preschool through high school. Throughout the school year, Pantry Packs demonstrates how volunteers, schools and the community work together to help children in our area.
