2022 SML Carnival Volunteers

Please sign up for 1 or more slots. Please take notice to the age requirements for each opportunity as you will be asked to provide proof of age prior to the carnival or at the Sign-In Table.

We will be holding a Volunteer Meeting in the SML Auditorium on Tuesday May 10th at 7pm to go over what we're asking from our volunteers, what each slot type requires and to give out volunteer shirts ahead of the carnival. At the conclusion of the meeting you will have an opportunity to sign up for volunteer slots with our assistance.

Beer Tent

Must be 30+ years of age to volunteer in the Beer Tent.

Food Tent

When working in food areas, your hair must be pulled back. Some slots require you to be 16+.

Games

It will be strictly enforced that no one under the age of 18 can enter the game booths. Please be respectful of this rule as it is state regulated.

In previous years, the games are very hot as the sun comes down directly in to them. We will take precautions to keep you cool (providing breaks, water delivery, etc) however, you should not work a shift in the games if you have any health issues. We are hoping we won't have to worry about the heat as much this year since we have moved to May, but please keep this in mind.

Volunteer Hours

Volunteer hours WILL be honored at the carnival! If your volunteer group and/or school requires special paperwork to be signed, please be sure to bring it with you! If you're unsure, please email with questions so you have the opportunity to ensure you have everything you need to receive credit! Directions to ensure you receive your signed paperwork will be emailed prior to your volunteer date.

Volunteer Attire

Please plan to dress comfortably. No open toed shoes will be permitted for volunteers. If you are working in the food area, you must have your hair pulled back. Please come prepared to put on a volunteer shirt. The suggestion is to wear something you can put the shirt over top of as there will be limited areas for you to change. You can not work a volunteer shift without the correct attire. This is required by the Medford police department.
