Walk MS brings together a community of passionate individuals to connect and raise funds to change the world for everyone affected by MS.  In its lifetime, Walk MS has raised over $1 billion since 1988 and this year over 230,000 participants will raise over $38M at 356 events across the country.  This will enable us to continue empowering people affected by MS to solve everyday problems, ensuring comprehensive high quality healthcare and delivering breakthroughs to a cure.

Together, we become a powerful force.

Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are encouraged and invited to volunteer.

Activities Include: Checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

Activities include: Greeting and checking-in walk participants, collecting pledge envelopes and donations, providing general event information. (Must be 18 or older. Background check required)

Mission Tent/Living with MS Table (2)

Activities include: Setting up/breaking down area with appropriate supplies, managing the mission area during the event which may include disseminating Society print materials, speaking to constituents about MS Society.

Activities include: Setting up and organizing food service area, handing out food to participants, cleaning up area and putting away supplies. *Basic and safe food preparation and handling is required.

Medical Tent/ First Aid

The Medical support team consists of certified medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc), who administer First-Aid to event participants. *Must provide proof of certification

Set-up and breakdown station, consisting of games, corn-hole, snow-cone machine, face painting and more! *Must undergo background check and be 18 or older.

Say cheese! You will be tasked with capturing team photos, start & finish line, participants along the route and overall photo ops throughout the event. Volunteer must own a digital camera and be able to submit photos to the office.


VIP Greeters (5)

Greet participants as they arrive at the VIP tent.


Team Tent Food Runners (5)

Replenish food & beverage in team tents as needed. Provide quality customer service and help with any VIP needs


VIP Food Set-Up & Service (5)

Set-up food & beverage at team-tents and provide quality customer service to VIPs with any needs. Work with Food Runners to replenish food & beverage.


VIP Greeters (3)

Greet participants as they arrive and offer registration assistance in line.

This is the time to celebrate and kick off the event by cheering on all our walkers as they begin the course. Then as they make their way back be ready to cheer each participant as they cross the finish line.
