Join others making a difference by volunteering your time and talents to help stop MS in our lifetime.

From encouraging participants and providing refreshments, to providing safety and support for riders along the route, we have something for everyone. Thank you for volunteering!

To volunteer for Bike MS: Cruisin' the Crossroads, October 10, 2020:

  • Choose your preferred volunteer shift(s) from the list below (other roles may be found in the tabs above)
  • We welcome individual volunteers and volunteer groups of all sizes
  • Assignment emails and further details will be sent via email 7-10 days prior to the event

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Under the age of 18 must have a signature from a parent or legal guardian on their paper volunteer consent form. Paper consent forms will be sent to youth volunteers prior to the event, and available at Volunteer Check-In and each Rest Stop.

Festival Site- Set-up (5)

Volunteers unload and distribute supplies, setting up tents/table/chairs, hang banners and signage, decorate tents and tables (heavy lifting may be required).

 
4:30pm - 8:30pm  

Registration Team: Rider Check-in/Greeter (3)

Activities include: Greeting and checking-in participants, collecting pledge envelopes and donations, providing general event information. *Background check required for volunteers handling donations- staff will contact volunteer for BR check*

 

Registration Team: Jersey/ T-shirt Distribution (2)

Volunteers organize supplies and shirts by size and type, hand out shirts to participants, keep area tidy, provide excellent customer service!

Check-in volunteers, ensure paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their assignment. Brief training will be provided prior to start of shift. Volunteers may join finish-line crew during downtime!

Assist participants with locating designated parking areas

Help with beverages and refreshments set-up at start/finish site. Ensure that the Water & Sports drink coolers are full.

 
7:00am - 9:00am  

Photographer - Teams

Activities include: Gathering participants for team photos at the start/finish. Taking photos of participants and volunteers at the start/finish and along the route. Must have good quality camera and ability to add photos to file sharing site.

 
8:30am - 12:30pm  

Volunteer Check-In & Info Table

Volunteers gather around the finish line to cheer on rider's as they finish their ride! Greet participants as they return from their rides, and mark that they have returned safely. Volunteers should be energetic and encouraging!

Assist with setting up, conducting, and tearing down post-ride celebration.

Food & Hydration (5)

Help with beverages and refreshments set-up at start/finish site. Ensure that the Water & Sports drink coolers are full.

 
4:00pm - 7:00pm  

Clean-up Crew (5)

Clean-up crew cleans up the start/finish site, takes down decorations/signage/banners, breaks down tents/tables/chairs. Volunteers in this position should also cheer on riders as they cross the finish line to elevate the ride's atmosphere!
