I am looking for a group of 8 helpers at each football game to plume and de-plume the band for the pregame and the half time show. Helpers will meet at the North endzone of Millard South High School 1hr before kick-off (same time as the students). We will put the plumes (feathers) in the band's shakos (hats) when they arrive for warmups. You will be able to watch the pregame show in the bleachers but stay close to an aisle as you will need to head back down to the track as the kids march off the field for the fight song. We will de-plume as the kids head up the stairs to their seats. The process is repeated towards the end of the second quarter (at the top of the truck ramp) and after half time.
Training will be provided on the proper handling and placement of plumes. Please wear or bring a LONG sleeve shirt as the plumes can not be touched by skin, our oils can ruin them.
This is a low-time commitment, simple, and a fun way to help the band. Perfect for parents of Freshman or Sophomores, but anyone is welcome to help!
The Directors may decide to have the kids wear only their polos and shorts. If that is the case I will contact you ASAP
