On Saturday, May 14 the National Letter Carriers will conduct their Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive throughout the country, the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank will be the beneficiary of the food collected in our community.
WE ARE NOT HOSTING AN EVENT ON MAY 14TH - WE WILL SORT THE FOOD COLLECTED BY THE LETTER CARRIERS ON MAY 14 WHEN WE GATHER ON MAY 21
The following Saturday on May 21 we will have a Sort-A-Thon to inspect, sort and label all the food for distribution to our Agency Partners!
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16 years-old and up (15 years-old and below requires guardian supervision)
REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift up to 25 lbs; Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (3 hours)
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and clothes appropriate to work inside a warehouse.
A light lunch will be served between the first and second shift. Water will be available for you during your shift.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
By volunteering and signing up you acknowledge you will be engaged in service in the form of a food drive sort-a-thon for the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank. This participation is voluntary on your part, and you hereby release the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank, its director, employees, agents, Board of Directors, predecessors, successors, assigns, representatives, attorneys, subsidiaries, and affiliates; and all persons acting by, through or in connection with any of them from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, demands, and actions of any nature whatsoever arising out of the individual's participation in such duties. Such release extends to any injury, damage, loss, or liability incurred by the individual while engaged in such duties, whether occurring on or off the premises owned or operated by the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank.
