Grand Beginnings

Notre Dame Academy's largest fundraising and social event of the year! Parents and parishioners attend an adults-only evening out and enjoy entertainment, dinner, live and silent auctions, a chance to win prizes and much more. Proceeds support the school's operating budget, meet special scholastic needs and continue to enhance Notre Dame Academy educational opportunities.

Estimated Volunteer Hours range from 3-60 hours. See each job description for estimated hours (noted as "Hrs.~".)

Live Auction Chair

The chair helps determine the live auction packages (up to 6) by soliciting larger value donations. The Chair oversees the live auction at the event and tracks winning bids and provides informational packets for the winners. 2 year commitment; 20+ hours

 

Live Auction Co-Chairs (2)

1 year commitment, hours vary. Team is responsible for determining live auction packages, soliciting larger value items, working with silent auction team, tracking winning bids, and managing contacts for package winners/donors.

 

Silent Auction Chair

Silent Team is responsible for sending out solicitations letters, entering items into BidPal software, creating and displaying baskets for the event and manage all team members. 2 year commitment, 30+ hours

 

Silent Auction Chair In-Training (2)

Chair In-Training will learn the ins and out of the silent team. Silent Team is responsible for sending out solicitations letters, entering items into BidPal software and creating baskets for the event and manage all team members.

 

Marketing Chair

Helps create social media posts to promote event packages, design event program, attend live auction meetings and work with silent auction team to promote items/events. 2 year commitment; 20+ hours

 

Marketing Chair In-Training

Helps create social media posts to promote event packages, design event program, attend live auction meetings and work with silent auction team to promote items/events. 2 year commitment; 20+ hours

 

Teacher Treat Coordinator

Work with teachers to brainstorm and confirm Teacher Treat offerings. Once offerings are determined, they will be entered into the BidPal software. Reports to the Silent Chair. Work can be done via email at home. Hrs.~4

 
Patricia Provencher

Class Art Coordinator

Brainstorm ideas for each class art project, supply the items and coordinate with the teacher to have time with the students to complete the projects. Provide photos of work in progress to Marketing Chair. Must have daytime availability. Hrs.~10-12

Buy-in Coordinator

Work with silent and live auction teams to brainstorm buy-in party ideas and recruit buy-in party hosts. Hrs.~8

Class Basket Coordinator

Coordinator works with a volunteer from each grade level to create themed baskets donated by each class. Coordinator takes and submits photos of each basket to Marketing Chair.

Decorations Coordinator

Create design theme for table centerpieces. Solicit donations for centerpiece items. Manage team of volunteers for set up. Must be available the day of the event 11a-3p. Hrs.~10-15

Heads & Tails Coordinator

Coordinates the sale of necklaces at the event, works with marketing chair to promote sales, and manages team members to sell necklaces at the event. Must be present at the event.Hrs.~3
