In preparation for the November 18-19 talk by Dr. William A. Darity, Jr., and Ms. Kirsten Mullen, on their monograph, From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century, the Roberson Project on Slavery, Race, and Reconciliation has created an informal Reading Group. This reading group will meet for an hour on alternating Wednesdays in October and November to review the debate over granting reparations to the descendants of the enslaved, which has intensified over the last decade.
This reading group is open to all students, faculty and staff of the College and School of Theology at the University of the South.
For those who cannot attend in person, we are also offering this reading group as a seminar via zoom. Please note that you will not be visible and will only be able to participate via the Q&A function, so it is much better to attend in person.
Please sign up and we look forward to seeing you there!
