Family Promise Building Renovation

Founded in 1998 as a 501c3 non-profit organization, Family Promise of Warren County is the only shelter program in the county serving homeless families. Find out more about us at www.familypromisewarren.org.

In March 2022 we purchased the property previously operated as the Shaker Inn, a small historic motel about a mile from downtown Lebanon.  We are renovating this building to provide overnight accommodations and daytime living space for homeless families as well as office space for our staff. 

We need your help with each of the following projects.  We will provide all necessary tools and materials for each job, and a project manager will be onsite to explain what needs to be done.  If protective equipment such as disposable gloves, eye protection, dust masks or hearing protection are needed it will be provided.  Please bring your own work gloves if needed.

Face coverings for protection from covid may be worn but are not required.  We will have disposable masks and hand sanitizer available for your use.  Restrooms are also available for your use.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Volunteers will be asked to sign an attendance log and a liability waiver.

We suggest you sign up with a friend or family member.  Please check back here from time to time for new opportunities to help.  As our renovation progresses we will be adding new tasks and removing those that have been completed.
