The Pay Gap Festival brings people together to have fun, while acting as a platform to raise awareness about gender equity. Thank you for caring about this cause and for your willingness to help out! All volunteers will be partnered with a volunteer buddy so that you can take turns breaking if you need to visit the bathroom or other during your shift. If you have a certain buddy in mind, please indicate their name in the comments of your sign up. Chairs can also be provided for positions that do not normally have them to accomodate, please let us know.
All training provided; no experience required. To thank you for getting behind the mission you will get a RWYG t-shirt, goodie bag, a pair of show tickets to the show to give to your friends, and you will be entered to win a prize up to $500 in value that is for volunteers ONLY. Sign up here, or email [email protected] if you are having issues.
Please fill out volunteer application so we have you in our records before your first volunteer shift. A volunteer FAQ email will be sent out a few days before the event to get you ready set.
See shift options for positions in sign up columns below descriptions. Shift times include shift check-in time.
Early risers can help by guiding exhibitors as they load in to setup for the market place/or other event prep. Because your shift ends early, you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the event as a guest!
Chill at the welcome table to greet guests and answer basic information about the event such as wayfinding (bathrooms, atm, stage, market place). Hand out wristbands to confirmed ticket purchasers (or direct those wanting to see the show to buy from their phone). This position also helps collect food donations for the FINNEGANS Community Fund.
If you love a colorful atmosphere full of energy and people, this is the position for you! Table up under the Rock What You Got Tent. You will get information to pitch and promote upcoming events to festival friends that visit the tent. Other duties may include hosting the spin the wheel game and selling merch.
Only those wear a wristband get to enjoy the show (ticket buyers), but not everyone knows that. Walk/sit/stand on the stage area border to redirect wristbandless guests. They can buy a ticket through their phone at the welcome table over yonder to get wristband for access. You are right by the stage so you get to enjoy the show too! Other things to help with to pass time: hand out postcards of upcoming events / pick up litter (if any) around border area to keep grounds lovely. Litter gloves and promo postcards provided.
Assist behind the scenes with the show and at the stage. Assistance may include running to get food and beverage for talent, green room prep, and stage or Judy Gold VIP related help. This is a great way to gain production experience and is a cool way to meet people like the performers! If you are interested in this position Kim Bauer, [email protected] will contact you after you sign up to discuss further details.
