High school youth group is in full swing and we've been worshipping, enjoying community, having fun, and of course eating together. We need your help in feeding these students :) We've been averaging 45 people on Sunday nights at Aftershock, and I know it seems overwhelming to feed that many... it isn't as intimidating as it sounds. Check out what we supply and what we need below, as well as ideas on what to bring. Also feel free to tag team with someone else to split the responsibility... one person can bring the entree and another person can bring sides and drinks.
What We Supply
We supply the plates, cups, napkins, eating utensils, and we even have cookers and serving utensils. We can also help cover the cost if you give us the receipts we can get you a reimbursement check.
What You Bring and Meal Ideas
We need the main entree for about 45 people. We also need sides and drinks (we usually have a supply of pop for Aftershock and Impact).
- Main entrees that are easy tacos, pulled pork, pizza, sandwiches, pasta. We have cookers that can easily cook large amounts of food. In the past we bought pulled pork and chicken from Gordons precooked for $20 at 21 serving each and placed it in the roasters for 60mins and boom it's ready to be served.
- Sides are just as easy. Chips, salad, potato salad, cookies, brownies, but veggies are typically the students favorite part of the meal... especially brussel sprouts believe it or not :p Pop, lemonade, and we have large drink dispensers.
