Cook and Serve at SVDP Sweet Dreams Shelter

Do you love cooking for others? We are looking for volunteers to cook, serve and share a meal with  the homeless women and children of the St. Vincent de Paul Sweet Dreams Shelter. Volunteers are needed to  cook and serve an entree, vegetable, dessert and bread to over 40 women and children on the dates listed below. Please sign up for a date that works for you. Volunteers should arrive at 5:40 and bring the food hot and ready to serve. Dinner is from 6:00-7:00pm. Children are welcome to volunteer so please bring your kiddoes! They help set the table, pour the drinks, bring the plates of food to the guests, pass out the dessert and chat with the guests as they eat. The children at the shelter love playing with the kids that volunteer! So much laughter can be heard that it will make your heart smile!

What to do: Sign up for an available slot. Cook your item and bring it hot and ready to serve in a disposable aluminum pan. We leave the leftovers for the shelter. 

Where: 1623 Convention Street at the Bishop Ott Sweet Dreams Shelter. You can park next door at the SVDP Pharmacy. 

When: 5:40pm-7:00pm on your chosen date below
