Dismas House Dinners
Dear CCDC members and friends,
Sign up to prepare a meal for residents at the Hartford Dismas House. Dismas is a transitional housing program for former inmates. CCDC provides volunteers to plan and cook dinner, and eat with the residents, once a month at the Hartford Dismas House. You are expected to be at the house by 5:30 pm, and dinner is served at 6:00. You can expect to cook for about 10-12 people from the house. Residents take care of setting the table and the clearing and clean-up. The house director and assistant director take care of serving the meal and keeping the conversation going.
You may sign up for a specific dinner.
If you want to see meals that are planned for the week you're cooking, or what they've been served in the past, check out the cooks' calendar: https://teamup.com/kspf6t3p84i2ck4txv
Children are welcome. Please, no more than three volunteers at one dinner.
