(get a free t-shirt and open your mind)

Guidelines to follow while embracing somone's story:

  • Curiosity and Generous Listening means approaching everything and everyone with a readiness to be surprised and delighted.  Generous Listening is more than being quiet while others have their say. It is about making a connection more than observing. Real listening is powered by curiosity. It involves a willingness to be surprised, to let go of assumptions and take in ambiguity. It is never in “gotcha” mode. The generous listener wants to understand the humanity behind the words of the other and patiently summons his or her own best self and his or her most generous words and questions.

  • Our Words shape how we understand ourselves, how we interpret the world, how we treat others. Words are one of our primary ways to explore what is amazingly different about each one of us.  Let’s pay attention to the meaning behind our words.
