2019 - 2020 HHSBPA
This is a sign-up for the open positions for 2019-2020 band parent association.
We still have few chair positions and several shadow positions open. Shadowing a position is an opportunity to prepare for the role for the following year.
Concert Uniform coordinator(s) role is to make sure the band students are properly attired for their school concerts. The primary duties are as follows:
- In August, concert uniforms are fit on the same nights Marching Band uniforms are handled. Final fittings for students who were not there in August are handled in September.
- Any hemming that needs to be done is sent out and gathered back by the end of October. Altered uniforms are given to students before the first concert in November or December.
- Tuxedo shirts ordered and distributed in the Sept/ Oct time frame.
- In May, uniforms are collected after the final Spring concert, and sent to the cleaners. Uniforms are then returned and placed in the uniform closet until the end of the Summer.
-Record all the audio of our shows
-Attend the PTA meetings and report back to band board updates.
-Provide Band Calendar to PTA
—Coordinate the publishing and distribution of the quarterly newsletter.
—Work with a team of writers to identifies stories for the newsletter.
—Coordinate the design and layout of the newsletter
—Maintain a distribution list of parents, donors and other supporters.
