2022 Get Your Rear in Gear - Portland

We need YOU to make Get You Rear in Gear - Portland a success! This 5K run/walk for colon cancer is on Saturday, August 6 at Mt. Tabor Park. Money raised at this event stay in our community to raise funds to fight colon cancer.

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Please see the shift openings below. Note that you are wlcome to sign up for more than one shift!

All volunteers are asked to after 15 minutes prior to their shift. Community service credit offered.

Packet Pick Up Helper (3)

Assist CCC staff with organizing shirts, pulling team packets and handing them out

Mt. Tabor Park, SE Salmon Way and Southeast Park Drive, Portland, OR 97215 (Use "Mount Tabor Visitors Center" for directions.)

6:45am - 8:00am

Set-Up Crew (3)

Set up tables, unpack boxes, assemble signage

7:30am - 9:00am

Registration (4)

Assist with raceday signups, handing out shirts/bibs and packet pickups

7:45am - 10:00am

Food & Beverage Helper (3)

Help to hand out food and water, replenish as needed

8:30am - 9:00am

Kids' Fun Run Helper (2)

Cheer kids on, help them run as needed, hand out medals upon completion

8:30am - 10:00am

Water Stop Helpers (2)

Set up water and cups for mid-course water stop. Pick up trash as needed

Course Helper (5)

Assist with directional to ensure run/walk is safe, cheer on participants

10:15am - 11:30am

Clean-Up Crew (3)

Break down tables/chairs, box up leftover food, pick up trash
