Tent Set Up/Breakdown

Can do Attitude! Able to lift 25-50 pounds and follow directions. Description: This position works in groups of 4 to set up and take down 20x20 size tents

Tables & Chairs - Pick up/Set Up/Breakdown & Return

Chairs and Tables would be picked up at designated locations, set up at the event under the tents prior to the event. Then at 6pm or as tents empty, the chairs and tables can be removed and returned to where they were picked up that evening.

Parking/Shuttles/Event Survey

Direct participants to park in an orderly manner in designated parking space at the Civic Center Parking Lot, then to safely board the continuous shuttles. Each shuttle must be briefed on and given Event programs & encouraged to take a survey

Luminary Decorating/Assembly/Procession/Tent Clean Up

This position helps people find a seat, provide direction on use of supplies available, and how to assemble their lantern, then where to go to line up for the Lights of Remembrance Procession at 6pm

Put Up & Remove All Signage & Banners

Able to follow directions, reach over your head and stand on a ladder safely. Description: at 1030am, Gather all signage & banners from the Volunteer Tent & hang them up throughout the tents. At 6pm, Remove all signage & banners and return to Volunteer

Lantern Launch Assist/ Lantern Retrieval

Able to walk in water, waist deep. Able to swim. Assist people with releasing their lanterns into the bay and departing out of the water safely. Retrieving the lanterns after the event & disassembling them

Lantern Ocean Sentries

Able to swim. Have a SUP, surf board, or kayak. This position will sit at the mouth of the bay to create a human chain that will block all lanterns from leaving the bay once the event starts. When the event is over, help return the luminaries to shore.

Info Assistants for all sales

All sales are CASHLESS. Using the QR code on the Event program to assist those who need help in completing their purchases. Also remind all to take the Event Survey (also with QR code) and to answer any questions

Clean Up/ Trash Removal

Able to lift 25 pounds, having a large truck is helpful. Collecting rubbish from event area and emptying all trash bags into large roll off bin in parking lot, so we leave the area cleaner than we found it.

Will Call- Pre Sale Pick Up and Purchases

Courteous and helpful, with banking, smartphone/tablet experience. To assist participants with picking up orders made online. Assisting with online transactions for “day of” purchases or donations.
