First Parish in Brookline
First Year Minister's Start-Up Weekend, Friday evening, February 8th, 6-9pm.
All are welcome to join for dinner and congregational gathering on this first evening of a weekend exploration of intention and clarity early in a new ministry. The process is designed to help the congregation make conscious choices about its future, focus on the ministry that is beginning, and continue developing a faithful and productive relationship. Our goal on Friday evening is to be in connective conversation about our congregation: our history, our culture.
Childcare will be available (please let us know that you have children attending), to support all in attending; pizza, salad and beverages will be provided. We’ll gather for Dinner at 6:00 PM in Pierce Hall, and then participate in a facilitated process with Meck Groot* at 7 pm. This event is open to all members and active friends of the congregation
*We are fortunate to have Meck Groot, Congregational Consultant and Justice Ministries Lead at the Unitarian Universalist Association, serve as our facilitator. From the UUA website: Meck “has worked for many years at the intersection of faith and social change. As Justice Ministries Lead for the region, she inspires and supports congregational leaders for vital, faith-centered justice ministry within and beyond the congregation through spiritual leadership practice.”
