Recognizing and Overcoming Individual and Organizational "Immunity to Change"
Monday, June 10 – 6:30-9 pm, with dinner at 6pm (optional)
In the first two sessions in April, we deepened our understanding of white dominant cultural values and how they inform our understanding of racial equity here at FPB. We identified the commitments we hold about welcoming, membership, worship and governance/decision-making here at FPB -- as well as our competing commitments -- commitments that often result in an "immunity to change," despite our best intentions.
In this third session, we will prioritize the goals we are committed to going forward, create first action steps, and explore how to help each other manage the losses that often accompany adaptive change.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, whether or not you have attended any previous DEEP workshop, and whether or not you have registered. Childcare will be provided upon advance request of any registrant.
