Ring A Bell
Help SMPC Ring to Bring Joy!
November 27 – December 20
For more than 100 years the Salvation Army’s red kettle donations have given hope to the homeless, those enduring disasters, and at-risk youth.
Our SMPC family has volunteered to provide 40 hours of bell ringing to collect money that will fund Salvation Army’s services throughout the year, including Center of Hope! Our local Salvation Army is not collecting Christmas stockings this year, so SMPC is shifting our support to the red kettle campaign.
Our two red kettle ringing sites are: Harris Teeter – Stonecrest (Tuesdays, and Saturday, December 8) and Harris Teeter – Blakeney (Thursdays, and Saturday, December 15). Please sign up for a two-hour shift below and make note of where you will ring – Stonecrest or Blakeney. When you sign up, please list the names in your group in the comment section. Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift to collect your volunteer apron and bell at customer service. ALL ages are welcome!! There MUST BE one person 21 or over present while you ring.
Once you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email with additional volunteer guidelines. Questions? Contact SMPC Missions and Outreach Committee member Terry Gaines, [email protected] . Thanks to SMPC member Carol Stillerman for serving as our bell ringing co-chair.
