Flowers for Worship Services

You may honor or remember a loved one by providing flowers for SMPC’s Sunday morning worship services. The donation is noted in the bulletin using the following language:

The flowers in the sanctuary today are given to the Glory of God and in honor (or memory) of _____________, by _________________.  

There are several options available when providing flowers for worship:

• You may provide your own vase or arrangement of flowers
• You may have a florist supply your flowers
• You may make a donation to the Sanctuary Fund, in which case the Worship Committee will use the artificial arrangement for the service, and the note in the bulletin will read:  In lieu of flowers, a donation has been made to the Sanctuary Fund, given to the Glory of God and in honor (or memory) of _____________ by ________________.

Although vases and arrangement sizes vary, the Worship Committee suggests an overall height of 24-30 inches and a width no larger than 30 inches. If you are bringing the flowers on Sunday morning, please have them to the sanctuary by 9:45am. If you are having flowers delivered prior to Sunday, please note, the Church Office is not open on Friday or Saturday. Reach out to Karen Malmut with any questions - [email protected] or 704-591-9496
