Lunches are working a little different this year, with all the changes due to COVID-19. There's no need to "bag" the lunches. This year, the Women's Shelter is just asking us to provide the elements for 35 lunches. That means sandwiches (turkey or turkey/cheese; ham or ham/cheese; beef or beef/cheese; cheese only; peanut butter/jelly) put individually in a sandwich bag and labeled, individual bags of chips, fruit or fruitcups, and cookies. Each volunteer or group should plan to provide either half (18) or all (36) of the ingredients for lunches needed for the day and plan to deliver the lunches to the shelter the evening before they are used. Each bag should be marked with the date of intended use and an indication of the type of sandwich (for example "T" for turkey, "B" for beef, "C" for cheese).
Note: Please sign up for the day that the lunch will be dropped off, where the lunch will be labeled and prepared for the following date. For example, if you sign up for Monday on this sheet, you will drop off the lunches Monday evening and they should be labeled with Tuesday's date and will be distributed Tuesday morning.
