End-of-Year Luau Dance (Grades 6-8th)
Friday, April 26th, 2019
6:00 PM - 8:00 P.M.
Location: D-Building (Elementary School) gym
Tickets are on sale for $7.00 plus online processing fee. Thank you to the National Junior Honors Society for their generous contribution to the Middle School Dance to allow ticket prices to be lowered for this final dance of the year!
DEADLINE TO PURCHASE TICKETS: Wednesday, April 24th at 5:30 p.m.
Online ticket purchasing allows us to more accurately plan for seating, food, beverages, and chaperones. Students will not receive a paper ticket, but their name will be added to the guest list which will be checked at the door upon entry. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
When signing up your child(ren), please sign-up using their first and last name. Additionally, if you are signing up more than one student, please sign up each child individually as to alleviate confusion with dance check-in.
Food & Festivities:
A light meal, dessert, and drink will be provided and there will be a DJ, fellowship, and lots of dancing!

We need assistance with the following:
Before the dance: set-up and decorating (3:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
During the dance: student sign-in, food/dessert distribution, and the photo booth (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM)
After the dance: clean up and break down (7:00 PM - 8:30 PM)
Attire: Dress Code appropriate wear (recommended casual luau-themed clothing with accents of bright, tropical colors and floral patterns)
Be reminded that all students participating in after school and off campus activities are subject to all provisions of the Middle/High School (6–12) Parent/Student Handbook 2018–2019. Styles of clothing or dancing that administration determine to be inappropriate for a school dance setting will not be permitted and overt public displays of affection will not be acceptable.
A student requesting to bring a guest who is not a student at Mountain Island Charter School to a school event such as a dance or social must have a Student Guest Approval Form completed and approved before purchasing tickets. Students and guests must always act in accordance with school event rules regarding appropriate dress, conduct, and arrival time. Mountain Island Charter School reserves the right to deny any guest approval request.
Strauss Studios/www.micsphotos.com will be on-site taking photos during the dance.
Students will be able to take semi-formal photos. You can pre-purchase individual photos or a USB (that includes all the photos your child is in). The photos and USB will be delivered back to school on the Monday after the dance. Cash, check, or credit will be accepted on-site as well.
