Developmental Needs of an Adolescent Girl

The (Bumpy) Road Ahead

Adolescence is a time of rapid and intense physical, intellectual, and emotional change for girls, rivaled only by her first few years of life. It is both a thrilling and challenging time for girls as they find themselves on a bridge between childhood and adulthood. The turbulence of these years, while a natural phase of development, can feel overwhelming for girls and parents alike.

Join Laura Haskins, Head of School of Orchard House School, as we review current research on girls' development and confidence and best practices for supporting girls with self-compassion. Leave with an increased awareness of your daughter's developmental needs and some tools for helping her through some of life's difficult moments.

Seating is limited.
