Note in the Pocket

Note in the Pocket (https://noteinthepocket.org/) provides clothing to impoverished and homeless schoolchildren in Wake County. Note in the Pocket believes that it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school.  Help is needed to process donations to make them ready for distribution.

We will be working at the Volunteer Center located at 5100 Lacy Avenue, Raleigh 27609.  Lacy Avenue is a side street off Millbrook Road between Old Wake Forest Rd and Atlantic Avenue. It is a white building with black awnings. Our shift is on Thursday, January 24th 9:30 - 12:00.

  • Parking is very limited and we suggest that people carpool (there is parking behind the building if necessary)
  • Everyone who is participating will need to register online as a new volunteer  (if they have never volunteered with Note in the Pocket  before...). If they do not register they cannot participate. Please register as soon as possible.
  • Here is the Link to register as a new volunteer, if you have volunteered with Note in the Pocker before, you do not need to do so again:  https://noteinthepocket.org/get-involved/volunteer
  • Everyone should wear closed toed shoes.
