2019 Staff Appreciation Week luncheon donations at JSHS

We are looking for your help to show our Appreciation to the wonderful staff at Wyomissing JSHS for Staff Appreciation Week being held May 6-10, 2019. The staff is looking forward to the week’s events.  Breakfast Day, Gift Day, Bread Day, Staff Luncheon and Candy Bar. We are looking for homemade dishes and desserts for the Staff luncheon at the on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

We ask that donated dishes will serve 8-10 people. Any family favorite would be wonderful and ethnic dishes are always a particular hit. We have included example dishes on sign up genius.  All cooks and bakers will receive a reminder email the week before the luncheon with instructions for drop off.

  • COLD food donations can be brought to the main entrance between 7am-10am on Thursday, May 9th.
  • HOT dishes can be brought to the main entrance heated and ready to go between 9:30-10am on Thursday, May 9th.  If you need to send a hot dish in with your student, please let us know. We will have sternos ready to keep it warm.
    • The committee will be providing serving utensils. 
    • We encourage the use of disposable containers. 
    • Any serving items you need returned, please label clearly with your name. Your child may pick up serving items at 2:15 in the library kitchen.
    • Remaining labeled items will be placed on Michelle Esterbrook's front porch 532 South Park Rd on Thursday May 10th by 4pm for you to pick up. 
    • We are using ½ size foil pans for hot entrees. You may use your own foil pan or pick a pan up at 532 south park rd.  Foil Pans will be in a box on my front porch.

If you are not a baker or a cook, we are accepting monetary donations to purchase candy for the Staff Candy Bar on Friday, May 10th

We will be purchasing Candy the week of May 1st.  Please deliver your donation to Michelle Esterbrook or Laurene Smychynsky or have your child give to August Smychynsky, Emma or Anton  Esterbrook at school.

ALL donations collected will be listed and used for the PTA-sponsored Staff Appreciation Week items. It is more efficient for us to have one person dedicated to collecting funds for this specific use.
